About Michael

As the Science & Technology consultant it is my pleasure to help SWLSB teachers teaching this fascinating subject.

The support I can provide can take many forms.

I provide resources for teaching the curriculum as well as arranging appropriate training sessions and workshops. I also provide information from the MELS as well as the local ‘M.A.S.T.’ community about curriculum changes and exams.
A large part of the job involves the creation and validation of exams and other  evaluation tools in collaboration with other consultants in the Anglophone network.

Mapping out the Science & Technology curriculum at the elementary level has become an increasingly important focus of this role.
I am extremely passionate about Science education and there are few things I like more than team-teaching or modeling lessons out in schools
Personally, . I have particular special interests in;
  • strategies to increase student engagement and promote a sense of awe, wonder and curiosity about science
  • promoting empiricism and critical thinking in our students shifting towards more inquiry-based experimentation in the classroom
  • utilizing current digital technology  in combination with traditional techniques in order to ‘contemporize’ Science & Technology lessons

I look forward to working with you!
